Abercrombie Fizzwidget, on Qwark, GC

Abercrombie Fizzwidget, simply referred to as Mr. Fizzwidget in the games, was the Chief Executive Officer and founder of MegaCorp, a massive corporation that dominated most of the Bogon Galaxy. He was allied with Angela Cross and was impersonated by Qwark after being locked in a supply closet. As CEO he had a secretary, Ms. Noodlebottom.

Biography

Founding MegaCorp

I'm Abercrombie Fizzwidget, founder of the MegaCorp corporation in the Bogon Galaxy!

Abercrombie Fizzwidget founded the MegaCorp corporation in the Bogon Galaxy. The company would later decimate its competition such as Gadgetron Corporation, in large part because of the Triple-B (also known as the Big Badass Bob) ballistic missile. With no real competitors, MegaCorp became the Bogon Galaxy's one and only choice for customer products.

He was close friends of Angela Cross, a Lombax that worked in the genetics division of MegaCorp.

Trapped in a supply closet

Unfortunately for Fizzwidget, things were about to turn bad for him, as a galaxy threatening plot was occurring in the distant Solana Galaxy, involving the shamed super hero Captain Qwark. After Qwark had escaped from prison, he continued to sell Personal Hygenators under the name of Steve McQwark. Once he had sold enough, Qwark planned to fund his comeback as a superhero. However, Qwark would need a new galaxy, with a new fan base, so that he could save them from a new disaster. The disaster was a blue, furry creature, a creature that would later become the Protopet.

Qwark later chose to become the "hero" of the Bogon Galaxy, and he captured Abercrombie Fizzwidget, tying him up in a supply closet at MegaCorp Headquarters. Qwark later donned a costume that resembled Fizzwidget, and no one but the Female Infobot knew the fate of the real Fizzwidget. While Abercrombie Fizzwidget was trapped, Qwark, disguised as Mr. Fizzwidget, pushed MegaCorp to create the ultimate pet, a pet he would make sure never passed safety testing.

Following the defeat of the Mutant Protopet by Ratchet and Clank, Angela Cross had located the real Fizzwidget in the supply closet and untied him.

When Angela Cross first introduced him to Ratchet, Ratchet mistook him for Captain Qwark in disguise, but Angela Cross assured Ratchet that this was the real Fizzwidget and that he had been locked up all this time. Fizzwidget was very grateful for Ratchet and Clank's service in freeing him and defeating the Mutant Protopet. Ratchet was glad to have helped but felt sorry they had lost the Helix-O-Morph. At around this time, the Mutant Protopet spat out Qwark, who spat out the Helix-O-Morph. They soon learned the Helix-O-Morph was not broken as first thought, Qwark had merely put the batteries in backwards. Fizzwidget noted Qwark was an imbecile, not noticing the Mutant Protopet was getting up behind him.

Fizzwidget was nearly devoured by the Mutant Protopet, but Angela had fixed the Helix-O-Morph just in time to transform the raging monster into a small, harmless, non-aggressive Protopet. The Protopet fell into Fizzwidgets hands, where it promptly rubbed his neck in a playful manner, causing Fizzwidget to jollily chuckle as he told the Protopet to calm down. With this, he left to resume his role as CEO for MegaCorp.

Slim Cognito, UYA

Later, Ratchet and Clank would meet the black market dealer Slim Cognito on Aquatos, who had fled the Bogon Galaxy after he had accidentally sold a Suck Cannon upgrade to a minor. Because Ratchet and Clank had helped Abercrombie Fizzwidget in the past, he ensured Slim Cognito gave them a discount on MegaCorp weapons allowing Ratchet and Clank to purchase them for free.

Abecrombie Fizzwidiget later attended the movie premiere of the Secret Agent Clank film.

An Abercrombie Fizzwidget Bot in Silver City

A Abercrombie Fizzwidget Bot gave tours around the MegaCorp Armory on Todano.

Ratchet and Clank encountered another Fizzwidget Bot on the planet Boldan in Silver City offering free Protopet samples. The Thug Leader used the bot to capture Ratchet and Clank and sent them to the Thugs-4-Less prison after falsely accusing them of trying to kill Fizzwidget.

Legacy

Stuart Zurgo cited Abercrombie Fizzwidget's kidnapping as yet another low point in Captain Qwark's career as "superhero," which slowly led Zurgo to despise Qwark rather than idolize him.

Personality

Mr. Fizzwidget often used longer words when talking. Captain Qwark, when posing as him, tried to copy this trait, but constantly ended up saying the wrong words (some of which were even completely made up).

Abercrombie Fizzwidget was voiced by Jim Ward, who also voices Captain Qwark among other characters in the series.

His name is a parody of Template:W, a popular clothes line.
