Alpha Clank was a skin for the player to use in single player mode. In co-op mode it was the second player's default skin in Ratchet: Deadlocked. Alpha Clank appeared as Clank with a suit to boost his height.

Alpha Clank returned in Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault as a multiplayer skin.

• In the game manual, it is told by Clank that if the player missed Clank as an ally, Alpha Clank was a perfect replacement.
• According to Clank, Alpha Clank was included by Vox Industries to increase TV rating.
• The Full Frontal Assault version of Alpha Clank possesses a feature that was originally meant for a removed skin in Tools of Destruction; a tiny version of Ratchet on his back.
