Ardolis was a planet and was home to the pirate base. On this planet, Ratchet and Clank attempted to explore the base in hope to find the Lombax secret. Talwyn, Cronk and Zephyr meet the duo throughout the level and helped them escape with the "secret," which only turned out to be coordinates to another planet. Ratchet and Clank first met Captain Slag and his right-hand man Rusty Pete on Ardolis.

There are various parts to the Ardolis level, including Sarrdollow Caves and the Pirate Radio tower. There was also a boss on Planet Ardolis; however, his name was never revealed. There were three skill points available there, as well as a Holo-Plan piece and three gold bolts.

The giant flying whale-like creatures that are seen here can also be found in the Ublik Passage and on Vapedia.

You could also find the Armor Magnetizer on an optional mission on the planet.

Ardolis was a remote tropical oceanic world located in Cerullean Sector, making it a perfect base for those on the fringes of the law. The Space Pirates would later arrive on Ardolis, making it a key base of operations for them. Using a stolen Kerchu Radio Station, renamed the Blackstar Memorial Radio Station, the Space Pirates lured travelers to Ardolis, who never returned.

During a Space Pirate raid on of Apogee Space Station in the Nundac Asteroid Ring, the Space Pirates stole an ancient Lombax Artifact from the Markazian Max Apogee. The artifact was then hidden for years in the Pirate Base on planet Ardolis.

Years later, Ratchet, Clank, Talwyn, Zephyr and Cronk visited Ardolis, searching for the stolen artifact. After much Space Pirate brawling, they obtained the artifact, and learned it's true function, it was a holographic map of all known Lombax colony planets, and listed Rykan V as one, which might contain the ancient "Lombax Secret."
