A typical Battery Bot reply to being thrown back into a Battery Bot outlet., ACiT
A Battery Bot was a small robot that acted like a battery, supplying power to machinery when plugged into a socket.[1] Battery Bots had legs and used them to escape from having to supply power to machinery, and flee from anyone who tried to put them back in their sockets. They were, according to Vullards, unreliable as they were very rebellious and often went on strike. They could also speak, and used their voice to complain and insult anyone who tried to put them back in their socket.
Similarities
Battery Bots bore resemblance to the Codebot located on Drek's Fleet in the first game. They operated exactly the same and even performed the same function, albeit the Battery Bots required a bit more player interaction than the Codebot.
Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time
Ratchet would grab these robots with his wrench and threw them into electrical sockets to activate certain machinery, such as doors.
Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus
Battery bots, as unreliable as before, were found on the Nebulox Seven, Silox, and Thram by Ratchet. He also used them to find Vault Keys on planet Thram. However, they didn't speak in this game, and instead made high-pitched beeping noises.
