The Chimp-o-Matic was a weapon that turned enemies into chimpanzees and, according to its demonstration video, was originally designed as a party gag by bored GrummelNet engineers. Robotic enemies were turned into toy monkeys with cymbals, while organic enemies turned into normal chimps. Turning larger enemies into chimps would take longer. Ratchet could make the monkeys dance by throwing out a Groovitron Ball. Contrary to popular belief, it does upgrade, despite the lack of an upgrade bar. When it reached V5, it became the Chimpositron which, thanks to the addition of an extra transmorpher chamber, could turn two enemies into chimps simultaneously.

The Chimp-o-Matic was acquired for winning the Raritanium Cup in the Agorian Battleplex.

Behind the scenesEdit

The Chimp-o-Matic/Chimpositron was the only transformation weapon in the series to work on a main boss. It had the power to turn Dr. Nefarious into an organic monkey when you battled him in A Crack in Time. It counted as defeating him even if he had full health, although there is a small chance the game would crash.^[source?]
