Courtney Gears was a robotic pop star. She was considered particularly popular due to her form rather then her singing.[1]
[edit] Working with Dr. Nefarious
When Courtney Gears was considered the sexy pop star of the galaxy, she starred in music videos and gave out awards to participants who won Annihilation Nation challenges. When Ratchet and Clank realised she had a connection with Dr. Nefarious, they attempted to obtain information from her about Dr. Nefarious's whereabouts. They quickly realized that Courtney had allied herself with Nefarious and that she was using her music to convey his plots.[2] She was later responsible for kidnapping and replacing Clank with Klunk. She then turned Skid McMarx into a robot as part of a test for the upcoming Biobliterator project. The test took place at her head quarters on Obani Draco. Despite her fairly good fighting skills and the help of her backup dancers, Ratchet defeated her and almost destroyed her.
[edit] Reconstruction and rehabilitation
Courtney Gears recovered from near-destruction but her career a low due to allegations about her working with Dr. Nefarious to destroy organic life. Her record label also replaced her with Skid McMarx after the allegations. Gleeman Vox personally oversaw the careful reconstruction and rehabilitation of Courtney Gears by his own team of specialist robotic surgeons. In exchange, Courtney Gears signed over all past and future rights to her music, her image, her name, her likeness, and her personal collection of Secret Agent Clank memorabilia."
[edit] After rehabilitation
Courtney Gears later became Reactor's girlfriend. An advertisement showing the might of the aforementioned Exterminator, showed that she did not seem to be a very caring girlfriend; she was after Reactor's money, of course. She was later involved in another scandal where she was known to have had an explicit video leaked onto the HoloNet. It was also said that she had found time to record a new album, Don't Hurt Me Like That[3]
[edit] Music Video
The only known Courtney Gears song to appear throughout the series is the "Anti-Squishie" song from Up Your Arsenal. It reappears in Deadlocked when Big Al is seen dancing to it and in Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction on the IRIS computer.
[edit] Trivia
- In the European version of Up Your Arsenal, Courtney Gears and Clank were featured as the print on the actual disc, along with the game title.
