Cycloids, also known as Saucer Swarmers[1] were spinning, hovering machines that attacked with their one-armed laser cannons. They attacked by shooting a laser beam directly at the Ratchet. Cycloids moved more than they would shoot so that they were pretty easy to kill. A medium-range weapon such as the Magma-Cannon was the most effective against them.
Cycloids were first seen on Planet Kronos.

- Before Ratchet: Deadlocked was released, they were mistaken as Laser Backs due to their laser cannons.
