Captain Angstrom Darkwater was a Space Pirate captain and the main antagonist in Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty. According to his personal journal, he once traveled to the Breegus Nebula and encountered the native Zoni.

[edit] As the Space Pirate captain
Angstrom Darkwater was once the Space Pirate captain. He encountered the Zoni who gave him the Fulcrum Star so he could communicate with them. Darkwater also built the Obsidian Eye in Hoolefar Island of planet Merdegraw. Later in Morrow Caverns Darkwater's treacherous first mate, Romulus Slag, killed Darkwater and declared himself captain.

The dead bodies of Darkwater and his crew remained dormant for years at Morrow Caverns of Merdegraw, until Ratchet and Rusty Pete, who was carrying the head of Captain Slag, showed up there. The three got near Darkwater's decapitated body where they found a map revealing the location of the Fulcrum Star. Pete then revealed that he was tricking Ratchet to letting him get across the caverns so he could get his beloved captain a new body. He then placed Slag's head on Darkwater's body releasing the curse of the undead. But as a result of the curse, Darkwater and his crew were resurrected, and Darkwater and Slag had to share the body. They didn't want to share the body, so it was no surprise that they were fighting over control of it. Pete then suggested that they should go pillaging, so they did. Their destination was Hoolefar Island. However, Ratchet managed to stop their attempt at pillaging the island.

Ratchet later went to Darkwater Cove to find the Fulcrum Star but Darkwater and Slag tricked him and dropped him in the Lythoin Caves. Darkwater then left the Cove and headed to Hoolefar Island. Ratchet caught his fleet and fought his way to fight Slag and Darkwater. Ratchet defeated Slag and Darkwater breaking the connection between them. Darkwater's body then fell in the Azorean Sea.
