First-person mode was a setting in the Ratchet & Clank series. It was first used in Going Commando, along with another new setting called lock Strafe. It was later replaced in the Future series by the look mode. First person mode was not really that helpful in the Ratchet & Clank series because it was a platformer.
- There was a glitch in Going Commando that allowed Ratchet to climb up walls by using the comet-strike while in first-person mode. It could be used to skip huge amounts of the game.
- Insomniac Games later made a first-person mode game called Resistance.
