The way the Ratchet & Clank wiki capitalizes words has changed; therefore, this article should be checked, and, if necessary, capitalization should be fixed.

The Gelanator was a GrummelNet gadget which, when filled with gelatonium from a standard G4-MW isobaric gelatonium pump, could fire cubes of gelatonium. These cubes floated on streams of liquid gelatonium, but they sank in water. Shooting more gelatonium at a cube caused it to grow bigger in size, allowing a higher jump. After some time, the gelatonium cubes would fall apart. Until the Gelanator was drained by an empty G4-MW isobaric gelatonium pump, the Gelanator held an unlimited amount gelatonium. Tumfoids ate the gelatonium shot from the Gelanator.
The Gelanator was only sold to members of the Gelatonium Mining Workers Union and its licensed signatories but it was given Ratchet by the Smuggler on the Planet Cobalia to reopen the Cobalia Gelatonium Plant. It is unknown how the Smuggler acquired this exclusive gadget.
When jumped on, the gelatonium cubes propelled their user to heights previously unachievable. The Gelanator could also be used to imprison enemies in gelatonium cubes by shooting the gelatonium at them. The Gelanator could be used to hold down large buttons; however, if Tumfoids were nearby the cube would soon be devoured and the button would pop back up.
Ratchet used the Gelanator was used on on planet Cobalia to reopen the Cobalia Gelatonium Plant; planet Kortog, where Ratchet used it to reach certain high areas; the Nundac Asteroid Ring, where Ratchet had to use it to reach certain Leviathans; planet Sargasso, where Ratchet used it in the Sargasso Gelatonium Refinery; and on planet Jasindu, where it was instrumental in traversing the planet's Underground Gelatonium Facility.
