Helio-Grubs were small grub-like green insects that glowed in dark caves. They could be picked up with the OmniWrench Millennium 12 and used a sort of flash light by Ratchet in the dark Morrow Caverns of Planet Merdegraw. They could only be found in small pools in the caves. They could be used to explore dark places, but more importantly, to get rid of creatures that are frightened of light, like Thwogs.
In All 4 One, Helio-Grubs appeared as power sources for lights in Luminopolis and later in one of Dr. Croid's Secret labs.
