The Helix-o-Morph was a gadget that Angela Cross created to tame the Protopet. In the events of Going Commando, Captain Qwark stole the Helix-o-Morph from its creator, intending to use it himself so that he could acquire all the glory of vanquishing the Protopet menace. However, he put the batteries in backwards, and instead turned the original Protopet into a huge and dangerous mutant. After Ratchet defeated the Protopet, Clank repaired the Helix-o-Morph and Angela was able to return the Protopet to its normal state. She also used it on Megacorp's TV transponders to do the same with the other wild Protopets.
