Once put together, Ratchet could use it to activate Receiver Bots and control them. The robot was used for various purposes such as rolling over a switch, so Ratchet could pass. One variation had a gun. All variations of robots had the ability to self-destruct; either by the player's intent or by it timing out. Taking damage from enemies would reduce the Receiver Bot's time.
The first part was found in the Distribution facility on Smolg. The second part was received in exchange for 16 Moonstones from the New Age Mystic in the Tundor Wastes on Grelbin. The final piece was found by riding to the end of the train rails in Allgon City on Damosel.
