PlotEdit

Ratchet and Clank return to the Solana Galaxy on Veldin for some rest and relaxation from saving the universe and Captain Qwark, due to taking the credit for Nefarious' defeat, became the Galactic President of Polaris.

After fixing up Ratchet's garage on Veldin, the duo attempted to restore a Skyburst 8000 speeder. Unfortunately, Ratchet accidentally criss-crossed some wires and mixed up the forward thrusters with the undercarriage controls, causing the Skyburst to shoot up into the air. Thanks to Clank's quick activation of a stabilizer Ratchet was saved from being flung into the atmosphere at the last minute.

Galactic President Qwark arrived in his ship and the three of them went inside the garage to talk. Ratchet then asked him if they had found Dr. Nefarious and Lawrence yet as the pair had been missing since Nefarious' station was destroyed. Whilst Qwark said Lawrence did teleport the doctor off the ship before it crashed, he also added that they had been unable to find him. Qwark claims his administrators could handle it and then informed the heroes that they had a more serious issue; they were losing planets.

Ratchet asked what planets were missing. Qwark showed them that Terachnos, Sargasso, Cobalia, and Aranos were all confirmed to be missing. However, Ratchet wondered why Aranos from the Bogon Galaxy would be affected which leads Clank to believe it was not isolated to just Polaris. Clank then spotted something on the planet room map that refers to something called the "Helios Project" and asked Qwark what it is. Qwark denies any knowledge of it, claiming it's top-secret. Ratchet then turned his attention to Talwyn, wondering if her space station has been affected as well. Qwark confirmed that she was safe and suggested that Ratchet should see her and help him find the missing planets. Ratchet refused and claimed that he had lots of work to do.

After Qwark left, Ratchet sat down looking at Alister Azimuth's stopwatch and confided in Clank that he had become tired of constantly saving the universe from evil and wanted to go back to fixing ships like before. Despite Clank's objections, Ratchet argued that their adventures had taken lives as well as saved them, hinting at Azimuth's death.

Above the planet, Artemis Zogg arrives in orbit above Veldin, targeting it as his next planet to steal. His assistant Vorn sent a transmission to Veldin explaining to the citizens about the moving the planet. Robots were then dropped on the surface of Veldin, forcing the duo to fight them off. Clank tried and escape to the Planetary Defense Center to get assistance from Galactic authorities while Ratchet used his Hoverboots and Blaster to destroy the troops. However, the duo eventually were captured, along with the planet, to an unknown location. When the heroes were brought to his spaceship, Artemis Zogg revealed his master plan is to steal planets from across the universe to build his own galaxy.
