Kortog was home to Stratus City which was a city that was suspended high above the planet. It was part of Tachyon's empire and used to be the Educational District of the Polaris Galaxy before Tachyon invaded. After the battle of Fastoon and Tachyon's rise to power Kortog became the Cerullean Sector capital. This was where Clank got an upgrade from the Zoni called the Robo-Wings. The city was full of Robo-Wing launchers that the player could use to fly anywhere in the city if you go on all of them you get a skill point.

Stratus city was also the location of the Hall of Knowledge which was strictly off limits to trespassers. This was where Ratchet and Clank discovered the Lombax home planet, Fastoon.

The otherwise reddish color was probably let off by the number of red coloured architecture throughout the planet, along with amount of red-coloured gases seen throughout the cities.

This planet was the first planet in the game which had the RYNO IV plan, and in order to reach this plan, one had to get the Robo-Wings. There was also a secret passageway under a staircase that lead to a Raritanium chest.

If the player looked closely, he/she could see the horizon of the planet surface, which gave the idea of how far up he/she really is...

InhabitantsEdit

Kortog appears to have a number of races living in the city. However they are most likely from other planets. Kortog appears to have a giant gas, as the city is floating above an invisble ground. So their appears to be no native space faring race on Kortog. Despite this, Kortog is home to some giant Sky Jellyfish like creatures as can be seen if you fly around the city using Clank's Robo-Wings. The Sky Jellyfishes are later seen in one of the final rooms of the Hall of Knowledge.
