Lawrence is Dr. Nefarious' robotic butler.

His day-to-day duties usually involve "dirty laundry and whatnot". He has a clear dislike for his boss, often pummeling him with subtle insults ("Even drooling imbeciles can achieve greatness in certain fields, sir. Mad Science, for example," "You put the 'wit' in 'twit, sir.") or purposely doing a bad job. Yet Nefarious, who either cannot fend for himself or doesn't catch on to Lawrence's true nature, still keeps him by his side.

His hobbies include playing the bass guitar which is an electric guitar that plays low notes in a rock song which would make Lawrence a perfect bass player in a rock band, in which his status as a guitar player is revealed just before the final battle of Up Your Arsenal. This could mean he is the rocker of the series so far.

By the end of the game, Lawrence almost leaves Nefarious to fend for himself, but joins his master in the Bio-Bliterator. Lawrence follows his master to the asteroid and assures the villain that something will come along... in 5 or ten thousand years which is not true of course as they will be in the next game. He suggested that they play bass rock music to pass the time since they dont have a microphone, an electric guitar, or a drum set.

Lawrence makes an appearance at the very end of Deadlocked, still drifting on the same asteroid strumming his bass guitar, which flew past the remnants of DreadZone Station. He failed to anticipate that the station would explode (Gleeman Vox had destroyed the facility within an hour beforehand).

He will end up in the next game since Dr Nefarious will be the mastermind as noticed at the end of Quest for Booty.
