Famous members

A Lombax was a bipedal species that was completely covered in yellow or white velvety fur, with orange stripes running down part of their body.[3][4] They had large cat-like ears and triangular feet with three claws on each foot, as well as large hands with five fingers. It is also noted that female lombaxes did not have tails. Ratchet, Angela Cross and Alister Azimuth were the last surviving Lombaxes in the dimension after the existing Lombaxes fled to another dimension in order to avoid being destroyed by Percival Tachyon. Lombaxes had an innate affinity towards gadgetry and machinery. Wrench was a traditional Lombax weapon.[5]

[edit] Origins and the Great War

The Lombaxes originated from the Polaris Galaxy where, years ago, they fought a Great War against the Cragmite empire.[6] The Lombaxes were hailed as the saviors of Polaris after defeating the Cragmites. However, one Cragmite, Tachyon, survived. The Lombaxes then raised him after he was discovered by Lombax Trillium miners. However, once he found out that he was a Cragmite, Tachyon raised an army against the Lombaxes.[6] Taken by surprise, the Lombaxes fled to another dimension, with only two Lombaxes staying behind to hide the dimensionator from Tachyon. Kaden, who stayed to protect the dimensionator with his son, sent Ratchet to the Solana galaxy to keep him safe from Tachyon.[6] Tachyon then killed Kaden and was known to have taken great pleasure in it.[7] Ratchet later defeated Tachyon, whilst preventing the Cragmites from returning to his dimension, he also got a glimpse of the Lombax dimension through the dimensionator.[6]

Angela Cross had travelled the galaxy with Max Apogee, but Max was killed during Tachyon's plot.

[edit] Personality

"Note to self: Never mess with a trigger happy Lombax."
Annihilation Nation commentator.[src]

Lombaxes were known throughout the Polaris galaxy for their advanced tecnnological knowledge, and rarely used unmodified equipment. The Lombaxes created various hi-tech gadgets, weapons and armor through the use of advanced centres of research, where extremely intelligent Lombaxes worked in groups to finish large projects such as the Dimensionator. Lombaxes couldn't leave anything unmodified according to the Smuggler.

Lombaxes were also known for enjoying high speeds and being proficient with weaponry. The Cragmites, according to statements by Percival Tachyon, considered the 'typical' Lombax to be "noble" and "courageous."[8] Lombaxes were a risk taking species.[2]

[edit] Lombax warfare

There were several Lombax warrior groups, including one group on Fastoon. These groups used advanced Lombax technology, created by the Centre For Advanced Lombax Research, such as Trillium Armor.[9]

[edit] Similar species

There were at least two races similar to the Lombaxes. Cazares were humanoids with brown fur and looked slightly like foxes. The only known Cazars were:

General Alister Azimuth from the teaser trailer for Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time.

There were also a number of Lombax Clones, they were all clones of Ratchet.
