Machine Gun Turrets were enemies that appeared in the original Ratchet & Clank game. They were first seen on planet Umbris, and shot several bullets at Ratchet. When he was hit, they stopped shooting for a few moments, then reappeared out of the ground again later. The only way to entirely get rid of them on Umbris was by turning them into chickens with the Morph-o-Ray.

They were also found on Oltanis, although on this planet they also could be destroyed. They came out when the Blarg Heavy Interceptors became aware of the Lombax's presence, and were usually found in groups.
