The way the Ratchet & Clank wiki capitalizes words has changed; therefore, this article should be checked, and, if necessary, capitalization should be fixed.
The Mega Rift Ripper was the Mega version of the Rift Ripper. It worked by ripping holes in the fabric of reality, sucking in enemies that were too weak to withstand its suction, and zapping enemies that could. If two or more black holes were close enough, they joined together, creating a more powerful black hole that could suck in more enemies. It was good against hordes of smaller enemies, such as the one and two-eyed tyranoids, but was completely useless against bosses, even in its Omega form. In the Annihilation Nation challenges, you could fire several black holes onto the arena during the last round, and then, when you won the challenge and went onto another one, the black holes were still there. This was very helpful during the single weapon challenges.
It upgraded into the Giga Rift Ripper.
