Added by Mateo22The Nefarious Troopers were the robotic minions of Doctor Nefarious during his campaign in the Polaris Galaxy. Originally and primarily manufactured in the Tombli Outpost on planet Zanifar, they would become the Doctor's new soldiers, also serving under his allies; Lord Vorselon on his warship and Pollyx in his company headquarters, respectively.
They also patrolled space in saucers and kept tabs on the Phylax Sector, Vela Sector, Bernilius Sector and Corvus Sector with spy satellites that alerted their fleets of danger. There were standard units as well as Nefarious' elite, upgraded Chronoguards.

Quotes

The troops often said humorous lines without emotion during battle. Phrases when fighting Ratchet included:
- "Annihilate! Annihilate! Annihilate!"
- "We come in peace."
- "We mean you no harm."
- "We should be friends."
- "OW! That hurts!"
- "Not cool! Not cool!"
- "We were just kidding. Do you want to go have some pie, or perhaps take in a holo-film?"
- "Sonic Eruptor detected."
- "Buzz Blades detected."
- "Cryomine Glove detected"
- "The Lombax has a synthenoid! Take him out!"
- "Oh no! Groovitron!"
- "The Lombax has engaged hoverboots!"
- "Squishie alert! Squishie alert!"
Also, while Ratchet used a holo-guise in order to impersonate Dr. Nefarious, the Nefarious Troopers said things such as:
- "Greetings, Doctor Nefarious!"
- "He looks shorter."
- "No sign of the lombax, sir."
- (If the disguised Ratchet orders a trooper to dance) "But it's humiliating!"
- (If Ratchet orders a trooper to be executed)
- "Doctor Nefarious, how could you?"
- "Tell my wife and kids I love them!"
- "I'm no traitor!"
- "This is a violation of my robotic rights!"
Trivia
Edit
- According to the Insomniac Museum, they were based on robots from science fiction B-movies.
- Like most of Dr. Nefarious' creations (such as Klunk or the Hypersonic Brainwave Scrambler), they shared at least one quality with their creator; in this case, a visible cranium covered by green glass, referring to organic life forms as "squishies" and saying the word "annihilate" frequently.
- The elite of this group, the Chronoguards, were much harder to destroy than the usual robots. This, along with the 'Chrono' in their name implies that Nefarious may have intended to use them in his takeover of the Great Clock.
- There was a mini-game in the Insomniac Museum that allowed players to design their own pair of Agorian soldiers and pit them against up to 4 waves of Nefarious Troopers, starting out with standard units and ending with a Protomantis in the final round.
