Like your weapons, Omega mods gradually became available in the Vox Industries Weapons Vendor as you went through Ratchet: Deadlocked. Unlike Alpha Mods, a single Omega mod could be equipped on as many compatible weapons as you wanted. If you wanted all of your weapons to have the Shock mod or Acid mod, for example, then you should go for it. Omega Mods visibly changed each weapon's effects, making them more potent in a variety of ways. The use of an Omega Mod was a major part of your offensive strategy, and once you had one, there was no reason to keep any of your weapons unmodified. They were all quite useful.
