The Verdigris Black Hole is a loation in Tools of Destruction. It is a black hole located in the Praxus Sector (near the Verdigris Sector) of the Polaris Galaxy. Nearby, the space pirates have a base on a remote ice moon named Pegasus Outpost, a base with a number of satellite turret defenses and communication towers, from which the pirates send fleets to intercept intruders. The base was still unfinished, lacking a pub.[1]
Ratchet and Clank, piloting Aphelion, flew past the Verdigris Black Hole on their way to Jasindu for the Dimensionator. Captain Slag sent ships to intercept them, seeing that they were headed for Jasindu and deducing that it must be the location of the Dimensionator (known to them as the "Lombax Secret"). Ratchet suggested flying through the black hole, much to Clank's terror, to evade them, but decided to destroy Pegasus Outpost on the way. After Aphelion flew through the black hole, using a proto shield to survive, the pirates carried onto Jasindu for the Dimensionator and left Greasepalms McGee to fight them inside the black hole.[1]
