The Polaris Galaxy was the new galaxy Ratchet and Clank explored and where they met Talwyn, Cronk, and Zephyr. This galaxy was also the location to the Lombax Ruins on planet Fastoon which became a desert planet after Lombaxes vanished to another dimension. This was the third galaxy Ratchet and Clank explored in the series, with the other two being the Solana and Bogon galaxies. The known sectors of the Polaris galaxy were the Cerullean, Verdigris, Praxus and Drogol sectors. The only known cities were Stratus City of planet Kortog and Meridian City of planet Igliak. Most of the galaxy was owned by Tachyon which was ironic according to the Smuggler, although there were free planets which formed Free Polaris, with Igliak as the capital. Like Solana and Bogon, there were plenty of planets and locations to be explored. Polaris' largest populations were once the Lombaxes and the Cragmites. These two races eliminated each other in the Great War, which did not reach beyond the Polaris galaxy. Other races found in Polaris included the aggressive Kerchu and the Drophyds. So far, Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty were the only games in the series this galaxy appeared in. It was also known to have a few planets which were not explored yet, such as Lumos, which will appear in the upcoming game. In Quest for Booty, a planet on the other side of the galaxy known as Merdegraw was a pirate planet that was explored by the duo. Polaris also had a greater space pirate problem than Solana or Bogan. The Space Pirates in Polaris were originally led by Romulus Slag, who was defeated by Ratchet in Tools of Destruction.
