Template:Capitalization Proton Excavators were turrets manned by Pilot Robots. They were first encountered in The Deadgrove.The Excavators would fire a continuous beam of energy. Therefore, the player had to smash Pilot Robots when the laser was below them.
It was assumed that the turrets themselves were used by Tharpods to mine.
