In an interview with James Stevenson and Brian Hastings, Insomniac Games confirmed that there would be another Ratchet & Clank game. It would be the ninth installment in the series, and would take place after Quest for Booty. The game will possibly show more details and information about Max Apogee, what happened to the Lombaxes, the Zoni, and other background information about the Ratchet & Clank galaxy. The title has yet to be decided. At the moment the working title, is Ratchet & Clank Future 2.
According to the end scene in Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty, Ratchet will be fighting once again, Dr. Nefarious and his butler, Lawrence, who both somehow managed to get off of the abandoned asteroid they were stuck on. Also, the Zoni might actually be working for Dr. Nefarious, since they respect him, and they might have followed Clank just to take him to Dr. Nefarious. The story's start will probably take place in Breegus Nebula. Emperor Tachyon may also return.
