The Rift Ripper 5000 was the V5 upgrade of the Rift Inducer 5000. The upgrade includes an extended time for when the vortex is open, the tentacles of "Fred" reaching farther than before, and a feature that allowed the rift to create an explosion just thereafter closed (due to a discovery, involving removing the horetzion stabilizer, by GrummelNet scientists), damaging enemies that weren't sucked into the vortex.
Upgrade Announcement
"Congratulations! You have just upgraded to the Rift Ripper 5000! GrummelNet's scientists discovered that removing the horetzion stabilizer caused portals to snap shut in a violent and explosive manner. Good news for you, bad news for your enemies!"
Trivia
- For some reason, when the rift closed, the enemies nearby didn't seem to be effected by the explosion.
