Space combat
From Ratchet & Clank wiki
The space combat levels appeared in Ratchet & Clank, Going Commando, and Tools of Destruction. In these space levels, Ratchet and Clank flew through outer space in a spacecraft fighting enemies who tried to ambush them. In Up Your Arsenal and Deadlocked, they were replaced with Hovership sequences. In Size Matters and Secret Agent Clank, there were space combat sequences with Giant Clank.

[edit] Ratchet & Clank
The first space combat level in the series, ironically, was not in space: Ratchet flew a Blarg Fighter over Jowai Resort on Pokitaru, using the Pilot's Helmet.
Later, Ratchet fought Captain Qwark at the Gemlik Base.
The third and final sequence occurred when Ratchet took out the defenses of Drek's Fleet at the Veldin Orbit.
[edit] Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando
Ratchet fought in his ship against enemy thugs in the Wupash Nebula, the Feltzin System, the Hrugis Cloud and Planet Gorn. All levels but the first also offered additional, harder, missions.
[edit] Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction
Tools of Destruction's space combat levels, while modified to be more point A to point B, were made a little bit more repetitive than the others as, instead of a large open area where Ratchet must destroy the enemies or bosses standing in his way, he has no control over where he is going and can only control his ship's angle and his targeting reticle to dodge obstacles and return fire. In this game, the two heroes used the Aphelion to battle space pirates. She had a turret that Clank used. The first combat level in this game was the Voron Astroid Belt, where Ratchet and Clank fought the pirate boss Puffy Pants Wallis. The second level was the Rakar Star Cluster, where they flew around a sun and fought Iron Crotch Caruso. The third level was the Verdigris Black Hole, where they destroyed Captain Slag's Pegasus Outpost and flew into the black hole, taking them to planet Jasindu and a battle with Greasepalms McGee.
[edit] Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time
In A Crack in Time players will be able to explore star systems to find items.[1]
