Main ProblemEdit

Okay guys so the main problem with this article is that instead of telling stuff about Clank, most of the article mainly summarizes the Ratchet & Clank story. So that's what we gotta work on. Titan^{Talk to me!} 12:35, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Wow. The real problem is that this page is too long. If you shortened it to a brief synopsis of Calnk's history and involvement in the games it would look more appealing. Azul 21:33, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

• If you renamed this article to B5429671, viewers of this page wouldn't even know this was Clank if they haven't played the series before or knew that Clank was the real character but didn't know in the first place B5429671 was technically his real name.

Anyways, if the page was renamed B5429671, then we would need a page re-directing to it from the words 'Clank', or even vice versa. Nifky 07:13, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Agreed. I think all of you should first think about it. Consintrate about what would other people think if they come to our wiki and think "Oh, I need some info 'bout Clank." and they write Clank to the database and they'll see that it redirects to some stupid code thing. • While I understand that problem, I still think we need to move the page. The first word in the article should remain as Clank in bold, and there is an image so readers would only need to read the first word to realise they were on the right article, and the first paragraph to understand why the article is titled as it is. _Hunterj ^{Hunterj's Resort} 19:18, 16 December 2008 (UTC)

• I have an issue with that serial number. Unless it's named somewhere else than at the beginning of the original Ratchet & Clank, that is. Because when Clank tells his number to Ratchet, he doesn't get to finish. The rocking of the ship interrupts him, and the lombax nicknames him Clank. So how do we know that serial number is complete? • On Wookieepedia, I would call the article Cody, CC-2224, mostly because Cody is just a nickname, and CC-2224 is his 'real' name. IMO. I also know that the Ratchet and Clank Wiki is not Wookieepedia just so you all know. LethalReflex 21:40, 21 December 2008 (UTC)

I don't think it's necessary to name articles by full names (Qwark is better known just as Copernicus Qwark, and Clank just as Clank), but if it's really necessary, then shouldn't this article be titled XJ-0461? Mateo22 ^{Let's Talk!}

I agree. The simpler versions of names would be better, because fans would know them better that way instead of full names. So, NO article should have the full name in my honest opinion. Look at Qwark in ACIT. His article name should just be Copernicus Qwark. The middle name is a bit much. It doesn't seem very adequate to have one article with the simpler name and another article with a full name. All of them should be shortened to the names fans would know better. Fair enough, but than again "Copernicus Qwark" is his name, it doesn't have his middle name, but it's his name, it's not a nickname, "Clank" is a nickname, not a shortened version of his name, so if we know his real name it really should be that name Drophyd167b 11:41, November 28, 2009 (UTC)

• I don't see Qwark's name as a problem. He's usually referred to by his surname, the article is his full name. With Clank, Clank is his nickname, so it's a bit more of a difficult decision. From a encyclopaedic point of view we should use Clank's real name, but from a technical and practical point of view Clank is much better for navigation, and google.
