Vernon was one of the three children brought in to rate DreadZone's products. He appeared in several DreadZone commercials with his friends, Eugene and Lucy. Dismissing Ace Hardlight as a "tool", Vernon preferred watching rising hero Ratchet and was ecstatic when the Exterminator leader, Ace Hardlight, was defeated by the Lombax. Vernon and his friends escaped the exploding station along with Ratchet, Clank and the other escapees.

• Vernon was also a secret unlockable skin in Ratchet: Deadlocked.
• Oddly, the 1 player vernon skin is not the same colors as Reactor or the costume Vernon had in the Dreadzone commercial. Instead, player 2 had the correct colors.
