The Y.E.T.I.s, also known as the Tundorian Yeti (in Ratchet: Deadlocked), was a large, ferocious creature species which Ratchet and Clank encountered on the icy tundra of planet Grelbin. Clank encountered them again on the Ski Slopes of Glaciara. They were genetically created by MegaCorp, with the original purpose to hunt down and kill the Arctic Leviathans, that roamed the planes. However, since their creation, they had gotten out of control, and in the end lived free in the arctic landscapes around the Bogon Galaxy.
It is unknown as to what "Y.E.T.I." stands for.
Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando
Seemingly working together with the Leviathans, on protecting the Moonstones on the planet, the Y.E.T.I.s would aggressively pounce on anyone disturbing their territory, striking them with their claws. They will also jump up from deep pits, possibly indicating an underground concentration of the Y.E.T.I.s.
A huge problem for Ratchet was, that sometimes as much as 25 Y.E.T.I.s would attack him, if he didn't kill them immediately as they jumped out of their pit; the whole screen could be filled in mere seconds, if they were not disposed of quickly.

Y.E.T.I. hair was known to be incredibly strong, which is why it was harvested by several individuals and corporations. Vox Industries was known to use Y.E.T.I. hair in its Versa-Wrench Multicore's core, making the Wrench both lightweight and powerful all at the same time.
Behind the scenes
- Unlike the enemies guarding the crystals on Planet Tabora, Y.E.T.I.s reappear after a player defeats them if the player leaves the planet, reloads the game, or dies.
The Y.E.T.I.s is a difficult enemy to fight as its pre-attack animation is too short.
